Quick Recipe: Nada Colada Shake

During the dog days of summer, nothing hits the spot quite like a creamy, ice-cold piña colada. Our “mocktail” version has all the citrusy goodness your taste buds crave without the empty calories your waistline fears.

Check the label to be sure you’re using 100% fruit juice. Juice “cocktails” often have more added sugar than a candy bar! To add more fiber to your shake, you can even make your own juice by blending slices of pineapple and orange with some water.

Ingredients

  • vanilla protein powder

    – 2 scoop

  • water

    – ½ cup

  • pineapple-orange juice

    – ½ cup

  • rum extract

    – ¼ tsp

  • coconut extract

    – ¼ cup

Directions

Prep: 2 min

Cook: 0 min

Total: 2 min

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender until ice is crushed.
  2. Serve in a chilled glass with a wedge of orange for garnish.
